Watched a movie with Diana yesterday..
And tat was the first time I cried in a cinema..
Ok, not exactly cry, but more like tears welling up in my eyes..
A few drops did overflow, but to avoid from being seen, especially by that person sitting beside me and being mocked at later, I jus leave it and let it dry on its own..
It was dark anyway..
Haha..

The movie was based on a best-selling novel by Khaled Hosseini..
About friendship..
Between 2 boys growing up in Afghanistan..
But the bond between them broke because of Amir’s cowardice when he did nothing to stop his fren from being raped..

I always love reading novels about such issues ..
There’s so many issues in common with the books tat I’ve read..
Like stoning in public for adultery..
Soldiers raping a man’s wife (though in tis movie, he wasn’t successful)
Clashes among different groups..
But it’s totally different on pages and on screen..

And the beauty of the landscape..
Very stunning..
Breath-taking..
But I was told it was filmed in China, and not Kabul..
Which made me feel cheated..

Nevertheless, I’d say Kite Runner is definitely a must watch movie..

Thereafter, met Aishah and Hafiz at Plaza Singapura for dinner..
After walking past numerous food outlets, we decided on Swensen’s, which was actually our first suggestion, but the guy, who was the only guy among us, made us went all the way down to the basement and back up to Swensen's..

We had lots and lots and lots of laughter over dinner..
Since people say picture speaks a thousand words..
I’ll jus let the pictures do the talking..
