Congratulations to Class of 2008

I have jus finished reading Khaled Hosseini’s second novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns..
Other than movies, reading is another favourite pastime of mine..
And the book is beyond a doubt, one of the most remarkable book I’ve ever read..
His writing is stunning and very descriptive, like you can really feel the pain the characters were facing..
And I actually, unknowingly cried at certain parts of the story..
Like when Giti, Laila’s close fren, died..
When Laila had to send her daughter, Aziza, to the orphanage..
During Mariam’s final moments..
When Laila visited Mariam’s kolba..
And some others..
The book is definitely worth the read..

My brother is always amazed at how I will suddenly burst out with laughter or tears start to fall when I read a book..
I dun know when tis love for reading started..
Too bad for those who don’t find much joy in it..
Coz I believe one can “see” the whole world through the pages..

Oh, 1 more thing..
Am I lucky or am I lucky?
Dad booked another nite at the Swissôtel The Stamford tis weekend..
Coz I missed the fireworks last week..
Though they said it was very few, i still wanna watch it..
Ever since i was little, fireworks always amaze me..
But tis one, it's the location tat i'm gonna watch it from tat really excites me..
The distance between me and the firework will be closer..
Hah..
I’m so gonna make sure I won’t miss it again tis time..

Stayed at the tallest hotel in Southeast Asia, Swissôtel The Stamford..
Our room wasn't really tat high up..
It was on the 26th floor, compared to the 61st floor during our first stay there..

Lucky for us, there was the rehearsal for our nation’s 43rd birthday, which was a fantabulous added benefit..
We caught the air show from the balcony of our room..
The planes were flying like real close to us and the noise were thunderous..
It was an enormously great experience, way beyond words..
I wanted to watch the fireworks from the balcony too..
Waited patiently for it..
Then at about 8pm my dad called and needed me at the lobby..
So I went down, and jus as I reached the lobby..
I heard it!!
“Dooommm”
“Doomm Dooomm”
Ah man, I missed it..
I really wanted to watch it from the balcony..
I dun know when will I ever get tat chance again..
Oh well, at least i get the chance to stay there..
I had a real good sleep, till I missed my morning prayers..
The bed were extremely comfortable..
And I submerged myself in a bubble bath for almost an hour the following morning..
I wished I had all those in my house..
Wishful thinking..
Hah..

Met Dearie on the Sunday, and watched the movie “Wanted”..
He said it was just ok..
Though it’s a bit of an over-the-top action movie..
I’d say it’s a great movie..
I prefer these kind compared to the superheroes..
The actions in the film were all top notch, lots of slam-bang action scenes, which somehow reminded me of The Matrix..
I like the plot..
Especially the twist element in it..
The main character played by James McAvoy made the movie an even excellent one..
To me, his performance was marvelous..
Angelina Jolie managed to kick some ass too, and she actually showed her own, though very briefly..
And I especially like how the movie ended..

I’ve been seriously thinking of getting something for myself lately..
Nobody in the world, except for Dearie and of course those salespeople whom I’ve enquired to, know about tis..
It’s a secret..
And still gonna be a secret..
Until the moment I get it..
Hopefully soon..

Now I can't wait for 9th of July..

Someone can't wait at all..

The movie Incredible Hulk wasn’t tat great as I’ve expected..
Yes, the movie was an action-packed thrill ride..
But it’s nothing tat special..
There's one thing I like though..
Tis time, the Hulk is portrayed as a more “human” character..
The immense power of the Hulk being compelled to protect the woman he loves and the inner turmoil showing in his eyes was outstanding..

I’m bored..

Last nite was the worst squabble tat we ever had..
Spent close to an hour in the toilet, standing under the shower, hoping to let the emotions flow down along with the water..
I have a habit of listening to my mp4 at maximum volume when I’m feeling down..
Put it to shuffle mode and really listen to the lyrics..
But somehow, the songs tat came out last nite has got something to do with the situation I am in..
Which then made the tears flow even more..

It was a mistake, and I promise you tat I won’t do it again..
I know I’ve hurt u deeply, and I’m truly sorry for tat..

Tis Sunday is another outing for me..

Earlier tis evening was the first time I went to the newly opened bridge near my house..
We walked towards the Alexandra canopy-trail, or whatever they call it..
Can’t really remember now..

It was very spontaneous..
My brother asked, and I agreed..
Without applying any make-ups or hair products, and without even bothering to change my clothes, we took off..



Halfway through the trail..
When we were really as tall as the canopies..
It started to rain like crazy..
Like cats and dogs and horses and goats and dragons and blah blah..
There’s no point in running in search of shelter..
Coz we were literally on top of the forest, with a long trail ahead of us, which really seems like it’s going nowhere..

It was nice, being surrounded by nature..
Even so not really when it’s raining heavily..
But, I would love to go there again..

Tonite
Will be the nite where most ladies will be sleeping with a pillow hugged tightly around their head..
I know I will..
As for the men, they’ll flood the clinic tmr for MCs..
I can bet on tat..

It’s been a week since the end of school..
And I must say, I really am enjoying myself..
Now I can watch all the tv shows tat I missed due to school work..
And read story books all day long..
The book I’m currently reading now is Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali..
Which is a really amazing book..

Anyway, about my weekend..
On Friday, I spent the whole day with my little brother..
Well he’s not tat little anymore..
But he’s the youngest, so I’ll always consider him as my little brother..
We went to Hay Dairies Goat Farm..
The goats were cute..
All of them seems like they’re smiling all the time..
We bought 2 packets of grass to feed the goats..
And I was shouting most of the time coz they put their heads way out..
And I kept backing away from them..
Coz I’m afraid they might bite my fingers off..
The time spent at the farms wasn’t tat long as I can’t stand the smell there..
The journey to the farms was a challenging one..
We missed the “Kranji Express”..
The bus tat’ll bring us straight to the farm..
So we decided to take Tibs bus 925, and alighted near Kranji Reservoir, as told by the bus driver..
He told us to walk down the road and we’ll reach the goat farm..
And after walking for exactly 2 hours and 15 minutes, after hailing 3 lorries hoping they’ll stop and give us a ride to the farm(which they didn't), and after being chased by a dog and after ‘taking’ 2 cans of drink from the frog farm..
We finally reached our destination..
It was crazy, especially under the scorching sun..
But it was fun..







And jus now, went out with my Dearie..
And u know wat honey, I love u so much..
I might complain a lot..
But u wat, tat’s wat girls do..
Hah..
Thanx for the surprises..
And thanx for the time spent with you..
You have been really busy with work lately..
And I’m really trying to stop myself from complaining about ur busy schedule..
Coz I know it’s for the best..

And honey, you made me feel something tat no other guys have done before..
Jus like how difficult for u to let me go jus now..
It was the same way for me too..

FiNaLLy

I’ve reached the finishing line..
3 years seems long when I first step into the school..
Now tat it has ended..
I feel joyful..
All the stress from assignments, tests, mid terms, exams is not longer gonna bug me..
But at the same time, sad tat my life as a student has actually ended..

Embarking on a new journey in my life soon..
With new challenges and obstacles..
All the best to all my fellow frens who’s gonna graduate and start on their new life journey..
May we cross paths again some day..

This last semester was really a challenge for me..
It took away the one thing I love to do..
MOVIES..
The last movie I watched was P.S I Love You..
I know, how pathetic is tat rite..
Tat was in February, almost 3 months without movies..
So after the final paper on Friday, I watched Superhero Movie and Over Her Dead Body..
Oh, I love it..
Movie-addict..Tat’s me..

Earlier today, went to school and realised that it's gonna be the last few times i'm going there as an undergraduate..
I'm sure gonna miss all of it..
But definitely not the assignments, projects, tutorials, blah, blah, blah..
